Configuration manual

Set up the parts merchants actually touch.

These instructions describe the ownership boundary between theme settings, Shopify admin, and third-party apps. Shopify-hosted commerce must always be verified on the intended store.

01

Install, preview, and update

Add the ZIP through Online Store → Themes, preview it before publishing, and duplicate the live theme before every update.

  • Keep the previous version unpublished for rollback
  • Re-enter only settings that Shopify cannot carry forward
  • Test navigation, product, cart, account, and search before publishing
02

Brand and navigation

Replace the Nuzzleway demo identity in Theme settings, then connect real Shopify menus in the Header and Footer section groups.

  • Upload a logo plus a square favicon
  • Check logo width at desktop and mobile breakpoints
  • Verify all three navigation levels and external links
03

Homepage and sections

Reorder JSON sections in the Theme Editor and replace every bundled demo image, headline, link, collection, and product selection.

  • Keep one clear heading hierarchy
  • Add meaningful image alt text
  • Preview 320 px, 390 px, tablet, and desktop layouts
04

Products and purchase options

Configure variants, media, unit pricing, subscriptions, pickup, and gift-card recipient fields in Shopify or their owning apps.

  • Attach variant media to the matching variant
  • Test every selling-plan allocation
  • Confirm quantity rules, inventory, pickup, and recipient delivery
05

Collections, search, and filters

Use Shopify collections and Search & Discovery filters; the theme reads native sorting, pagination, availability, and price parameters.

  • Add a collection title, description, and optional image
  • Check product ranges and unit prices
  • Test empty, no-result, filtered, and paginated states
06

Cart and checkout

Choose drawer, page, or notification behavior in Theme settings and verify discounts, line properties, selling plans, and final prices.

  • Test quantity limits and removal
  • Confirm Shop Pay and dynamic checkout on the real store
  • Never replace Shopify checkout with theme code
07

Markets and customer accounts

Enable Shopify Markets and new customer accounts in admin; locale, country, currency, and account behavior comes from Shopify.

  • Test translated URLs and long currency formats
  • Sign in and out on desktop and mobile
  • Verify tax, duties, and policy wording for each market
08

Apps, privacy, and accessibility

Add Theme App Extension blocks and embeds through the Theme Editor, then validate consent behavior, keyboard use, labels, and contrast.

  • Do not paste app scripts into theme files
  • Test app blocks in their intended template
  • Respect reduced motion and complete a keyboard-only purchase path

Before publishing

Run commerce where commerce is real.

These checks depend on Shopify services, store configuration, real data, or a specific browser. They should be completed on the development or transfer store used for review—not inferred from a static preview.

Quick answers

Common questions.

Can I replace the logo, colors, fonts, and imagery?

Yes. Global branding lives in Theme settings, while section-level content and media can be changed directly in the Theme Editor.

Does the theme support Shopify apps?

Yes. The product template accepts app blocks, and the layout exposes top-level app blocks through Shopify’s native content output. Validate every critical app on the review store before launch.

How should I report a storefront issue?

Include the store URL, template, device and browser, steps to reproduce, expected result, and a screenshot or short screen recording whenever possible.

What is included in theme support?

We cover theme setup, documented theme behavior, confirmed theme defects, and compatibility with Shopify’s supported features. Custom development and third-party app configuration are scoped separately.
